The RIS4Danu „Vienna Conference“ brought together representatives from all 11 project regions, the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), site owners and some of the leading figures from the Smart Specialisation policy community. The conference featured a keynote by Prof. Dominique Foray, an introduction to the RIS4Danu Sustainable S3 Concept, including an adapted Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP), a reflection on first results of the analysis of the project regions and a Policy Forum including information about relevant initiatives and programs. A fully day of insightful and inspiring presentations was followed by visits to two revitalised industrial sites in Lower Austria, Zukunftspark+ Tulln and Donau Gewerbepark Krems.
